Understanding the Public Works Contracts (“PWC”) that are used where public money is spent in Ireland is essential for Employer’s teams, Employer’s Representatives, Design Teams, Main Contractors and Subcontractors.  These contracts can be difficult to grasp at the start and to navigate various clauses in working use.

Quigg Golden has crafted this bespoke webinar that is designed to provide delegates with an overview of operating the PWC, with specific emphasis on the CF1 form (works designed by the Employer).

Details of what will be covered in this webinar are listed below:

  • Overview of the PWC suite of contracts, and the differences between each;
  • Structure of the PWC-CF1 contract;
  • Review of the Contractor’s main responsibilities;
  • Review of the Employer’s main responsibilities;
  • Understanding Delay Events and Compensation Events;
  • Claiming additional time and money; and
  • Review of the payment mechanism.

This half-day seminar is perfect for anyone trying to gain an understanding of how the Irish Public Works Contracts operate and it aims to give practical insight for consultants, employers and contractors alike.

4-hour CPD certificates will be provided following the successful completion of the webinar.

This online masterclass will be delivered by Stephen McKenna, Associate Director at Quigg Golden / HF.  View Stephen’s company profile here.  Stephen has delivered this for several County Councils and private construction professionals over a number of years and has also been involved in navigating countless disputes that have arisen out of PWC contracts, including many adjudications.
