About the course:

The Capital Works Management Framework (“CWMF”) is a suite of standard forms construction contracts, templates and guidance notes.

The course is designed to assist those who are already delivering projects using the CWMF suite.

The morning session will be delivered by Claire Graydon and will focus on the procurement law issues that arise.

The afternoon session will be delivered by John Doherty and will focus on the differences between the contracts contained in the suite and when each is appropriate for use.

This one day course will cover the following:

  • The principles of public procurement
  • An overview of the procurement process and the European Union (Award of Public Authority Contracts) Regulations 2016 (“the Regulations”)
  • How to draft the selection and award criteria in accordance with the Regulations
  • Key points to note in the SAQ and ITT’s
  • Evaluation and common pitfalls
  • An overview of the Public Works Contracts and when each should be used (including Risk Transfer)
  • An overview of the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services

Who should attend?

Contracting authorise or consultants interested or involved in the delivery of public sector construction procurement.
