Gavin Hendrie


Practice Director

Responsible for our operational support functions across the business, Gavin has over 20 years of experience in leading and managing multi-functional teams in challenging situations and dynamic environments across the world.  Gavin’s role spans a number of functional areas from HR, Finance, IT, Business Development, Infrastructure, Compliance and Governance.  Very much a strategic thinker, his expertise lies in fusing together the various facets of the firm necessary to enable our continual success.  His leadership experience and formal business education make him ideally suited to the challenges of operating a firm with staff and offices in multiple legal and regulatory jurisdictions.

Gavin holds an MBA and his research focused on the role of management in delivering successful strategic and regulatory change at Lloyd’s of London and also an MSc in Management & Corporate Governance, where his research focused on the role of good management and governance in achieving regulatory and statutory compliance within small law firms.  He is a Chartered Manager, Chartered Company Secretary and Governance Professional and also a Chartered Member of the CIPD and further volunteers his time outside of Quigg Golden as a School Governor; a board member of the Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District; Board Secretary of the Chartered Management Institute’s Northern Ireland region and also assisting an Irish Premiership football club with their Academy Governance.

Additionally, Gavin is a CMC accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and available for engagement by our clients who need independent expert assistance to resolve employment disputes. He is also available to discuss a range of business support issues ranging from HR, Employment law, Corporate Governance, Finance, Infrastructure management, Business Development, GDPR/Data Protection and IT implementation.
