As you have probably heard by now, the New Engineering Contract is now moving into its fourth edition. The changes in NEC4 have been coined as “evolution rather than revolution”. Although, it is still vitally important for anyone using the contracts to understand how this new form of contract will operate in practice.
This NEC4 seminar will provide an overview of the various changes which have been made to the most popular form, the engineering and construction contract. It will also provide delegates with a working knowledge of the changes within the NEC4 so they are prepared to manage the contract when it eventually phases out the NEC3.
Topics covered in the seminar include:
The new contracts within the family (DBO & ALC)
New contract features
“Contractor Proposals” to change scope or for acceleration
Use of Defined Cost in PSC, TSC and SC
Consensual dispute resolution procedure
Changes to Schedule of Cost Components
Various other main ECC and secondary option amendments (including BIM)
